Responsibilities

Point of contact for departments and logistics service providers regarding customs and foreign trade issues
Technical review of tariff classifications and coding by departments, and obtaining binding customs tariff information if necessary
Preparation of export declarations and foreign trade documents
Implementation and execution of projects in the customs area, maintenance and development of customs interfaces and databases, and implementation of quality assurance measures
Close coordination with customers, transport service providers, authorities, and customs brokers
Participation in the establishment and implementation of an internal customs control system (ICS)

Qualifications

Completed commercial or technical education, ideally supplemented by further training as a customs and foreign trade specialist, and relevant operational and conceptual work experience
Excellent communication skills and understanding of processes
Diligent work ethic, teamwork, and reliability
Ability to involve all involved areas and consider their different needs
Assertiveness in standardizing process steps
Good knowledge of MS Office
