We are 50Hertz - one of the four transmission network operators (TNOs) in Germany. Together with the Belgian electricity network operator Elia (Brussels), we form the internationally active Elia Group. At 50Hertz, over 1,800 people work to ensure that electricity flows reliably, with low losses and optimal control over long distances. As a TNO, we play a central moderating role in the social, technical and economic aspects of implementing the energy transition. Our goal: By 2032, we aim to integrate 100 percent renewable energy safely into the grid and system.
