Description

The Director of Production/Plant Manager position is responsible to oversee and manage multiple departments and operations in a job-shop environment.

This includes overseeing production and delivery schedules, logistics and warehousing. This position will drive the use of best manufacturing practices such as cost savings, waste elimination and employee performance.

The Director of Production requires strong leadership, ability to coach others, a continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to go the extra mile to help the company grow and achieve the company's vision.

RESPONSBILITIES:

Oversee supervision of multiple fabrication departments including workflow scheduling, management of staff, monitoring production and quality and all other activities required to ensure a quality product delivered on time.
Implement strategies and methods to reduce costs by using resources efficiently.
Meet on time delivery goals and drive production schedule.
Responsible for production schedule and managing expectations with foreman to aid in delivery of goods to clients.
Understand production demand, implement capacity planning and labor to meet needs of business.
Ensure that all shop personnel have appropriate safety gear and are adhering to safety guidelines.
Implementation of process improvement and efficiencies within the department.
