Description
The Aurora Production GmbH is a subsidiary of Aurora Deutschland GmbH with headquarters in Berlin. Aurora is one of three companies in Germany licensed to cultivate medicinal cannabis. In May 2022, Aurora opened its first German production facility in the Biochemistry Park Leuna, Saxony-Anhalt. The state-of-the-art facility produces approximately 1,000 kg of dried cannabis flowers per year under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions.

The medical cannabis, exclusively intended for the German market, is delivered to the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) to fulfill the German production tender won by Aurora in 2019.
