6ABC- WPVI-TV Philadelphia is looking for a Part-Time Studio Technician within the programming department The Studio Technician will support the daily production of news and other content across all platforms for WPVI-TV.

This position is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a Company-designated location on an ongoing basis.


What You Will Do

  • Running teleprompter for all live and recorded newscasts, instudio shoots, sports shows, etc.
  • Cueing talent for all live and recorded newscasts, instudio shoots, sports shows, etc.
  • Handling studio lights and microphones
  • Assisting with sets and props
  • Providing support in the field for live events, parades, onlocation shows, etc.
  • Additional studio duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • At least one year of experience working on Television studio newscasts and studio/remote production crews
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 3 days a week
  • Must be willing to work various shifts as needed, including early morning, overnight, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize & handle tasks simultaneously in a fastpaced newsroom environment
  • A valid driver's license required to drive companyassigned vehicles

Preferred Qualifications:


  • A broad understanding of modern media consumption beyond broadcast to potentially contribute to 6abc's production and distribution on streaming, web, and other digital platforms.

Required Education:


  • High School diploma or equivalent experience

Additional Information:

This position is covered under the Company's collective bargaining agreement with Local 804 IATSE
