McGee Creek is seeking an IoT DevOps Engineer/Full Stack Developer (m/f/d) to join our team at our location in Ulm for our Digitalization efforts.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain our device management tools and infrastructure (provisioning, updates, logging, remote analysis, etc.)
  • Automate our CI/CD and security monitoring infrastructure
  • Operate and maintain our IoT device backend infrastructure (logging, tracing, reporting, etc.)
  • Support embedded software development for modern connectivity systems
  • Integrate, develop, and automate test, code, and security analysis systems and tools
  • Evaluate and prototype the latest tools and trends in software development
  • Implement highquality security concepts in systems and products
  • Collaborate closely with other developers and testers to support system integration and testing in an agile team

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Comprehensive understanding of IoT systems (devices and backend)
  • Experience with containerization and deployment (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, Helm charts)
  • Automation and orchestration experience (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
  • Strong knowledge of network and encryption protocols and standards
  • Proficiency in C/C++/Rust and modern scripting languages and development environments
  • Knowledge of building embedded Linux systems is a plus (Yocto, etc.)
  • Practical experience with continuous delivery and agile methods
