Perisurgical Unit (PSU) Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Perisurgical Unit (PSU) Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients before and after surgery.

The PSU Nurse will be responsible for assessing patients, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assessing patients before surgery to ensure they are in optimal condition for the procedure
Monitoring patients postsurgery to assess for any complications or adverse reactions
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
Collaborating with the surgical team to coordinate care and ensure a smooth transition from preop to postop
Educating patients and their families on postsurgical care and followup instructions
Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records

Qualifications and Skills:

Valid RN license
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative or critical care nursing
BLS and ACLS certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
