Description
At the earliest possible date, we are looking for you as a mechanic in maintenance for the DB Fernverkehr AG at the ICE workshop in Cologne Hansaring. Your tasks will include:
  • After successful training, you will carry out maintenance and repair work as well as troubleshooting on ICE and IC trains of different series according to applicable regulations and work instructions
  • During your work, you will operate modern technical equipment (e.g. CNC-controlled underfloor wheel lathe, cooperating robots for e-checks, etc.)
  • You will ensure compliance with work, fire, and environmental protection regulations, as well as maintaining cleanliness and order at the workplace
  • In your position, you will ensure the punctual, reliable, and safe operation of trains for our customers
  • You will actively participate in our qualification programs for maintenance staff and apply your newly acquired knowledge in practice. Working with computers and mobile devices is part of your daily routine
Your profile:
  • You have successfully completed an apprenticeship as a mechanic or in a related field
  • You have extensive and well-founded knowledge in mechanics
  • You enjoy working in a team and approach your tasks with dedication and diligence
  • You are flexible, resilient, and have unrestricted shift availability (determined during the hiring examination)
  • You have good knowledge of the German language
