Job Summary:


Responsibilities:


Set-Up Production Jobs on the Laser:

  • Prepare and set up laser machines for daily production jobs.
  • Ensure machines and jobs are setup for efficiency
  • Provide feedback to engineering for continuous improvement of production programs

Troubleshoot Machine Faults:


  • Diagnose and resolve machine faults promptly to minimize downtime.

Complete Minor Repairs to the Machines:

  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments to ensure continuous operation.

Create Preventative Maintenance Actions:


  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans.
  • Complete or direct team members to implement preventative maintenance on schedule and per the standard.

Communicate with Engineering and Amada:


  • Coordinate with the engineering team and Amada for machine repairs and technical support.
  • Ensure all communication is clear and effective to facilitate quick resolutions.

Laser Machine Operator:


  • Operate laser machines efficiently and safely as part of daily setup activities.
  • Ensure highquality output and adherence to production schedules.

Ensure 2nd Shift Set-Up for Success:

  • Prepare and organize all necessary tasks and production jobs to ensure a smooth transition to the 2nd shift.
  • Communicate any ongoing issues or requirements to the 2nd shift team.

Assist in Laser Machine Scheduling:


  • Collaborate with the production team to develop and maintain an efficient laser machine schedule.

Mentor and Teach Other Laser Operators Set-Up Roles:

  • Provide training and guidance to other laser operators on set-up procedures.
  • Foster a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Spanish
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in laser machine setup and operation in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to perform minor machine repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineering and technical support teams.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience with Amada laser machines is a plus.
  • Leadership skills and experience in mentoring or training team members.

Pay:
$ $26.50 per hour
