Duties:

This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS).

The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category is at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level.

The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

DUTIES:


Serves as the senior adviser and primary consultant on biological weapons programs intelligence analysis and production

Provide timely and relevant biological-related technical intelligence support and expertise across the SOCOM J10 Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Directorate.

Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to program planning, advanced technologies, and support system concepts.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a twoyear DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated specialsensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

  • Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays

  • Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
  • A Masters degree or higher in a WMD (Biology, Biochemistry, Mircobiology etc.) field with SOF and IC experience and Certified All-Source Defense Analyst (CDASA) certified is desirable for this position.
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.

Specialized Experience:

Your resume must reflect experience at the next lower qualifying pay band or equivalent grade under the General Schedule (GS/GG) pay system or other pay systems, demonstrating quality in the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies to meet the requirements of this position


Examples of creditable experience:

Knowledge of the U.S Intelligence Community, its primary members, the intelligence process, evaluation and analysis of intelligence data and the organization functions and capabilities, specifically related to the biological threat community of interest.

Advanced knowledge of intelligence information flow and other governing regulations including Intelligence Oversight requirements that relate to finished intelligence production to ensure a timely response to customers requirements.

  • Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations and mission/functions, interrelationships and operations. Knowledge of Countering Weapons Mass Destruction and associated Coordinating Authority missions, functions, responsibilities, organizations, procedures, goals and objectives of HQ USSOCOM, DOD, Interagency, Joint Staff and IC stakeholders in setting biological threat properties for planning, policy and analysts purpose
  • Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks related to specific area of expertise which link and leverage DoD and IC capabilities in support of the J10, DoD and SOCOM leaders, and allies and partners.
  • Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decisionmaking purposes.
