Material Inspector - Port Orange, United States - By Light Professional IT Services LLC

Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Basic reading and understanding of blueprints including Bills of Material and QC instructions
- Perform inspections on incoming materials
- Maintaining a high level of communication with all departments involved in the manufacturing process
- Recording inspection results in the inspection database
- Working with Excel spreadsheets and use MS Word to edit or create documents
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with engineering drawings.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using computers.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
- Ability to mechanical inspection using calipers, height stands and micrometers
- Work experience with dimension or visual inspection.
- General knowledge of ISO 9001:2000
- Ability to work with Excel spreadsheets and use MS Word to create documents
- Certified Quality Technician by ASQ; Certified Quality Inspector by ASQ
- Working knowledge of JIRA and CostPoint
Special Requirements/Security Clearance:
- U.S. Citizenship
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs
- Must be able to work while standing for extended periods of time
