Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Basic reading and understanding of blueprints including Bills of Material and QC instructions
  • Perform inspections on incoming materials
  • Maintaining a high level of communication with all departments involved in the manufacturing process
  • Recording inspection results in the inspection database
  • Working with Excel spreadsheets and use MS Word to edit or create documents

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using computers.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  • Ability to mechanical inspection using calipers, height stands and micrometers
  • Work experience with dimension or visual inspection.
  • General knowledge of ISO 9001:2000
  • Ability to work with Excel spreadsheets and use MS Word to create documents
  • Certified Quality Technician by ASQ; Certified Quality Inspector by ASQ
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and CostPoint

Special Requirements/Security Clearance:

  • U.S. Citizenship

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs
  • Must be able to work while standing for extended periods of time
