Munich is many things, above all a global city, a community, and a responsibility. Munich needs people who are committed to this city with over 1.5 million inhabitants and who want to help shape the state capital with their professional tasks. Around employees are already working to ensure that everything runs smoothly in Munich: not only in administration, but also in waste disposal, traffic planning, social citizen centers, city gardening, schools and daycare centers, and many other areas of work.

The application deadline for the start of training on September 1, 2024 has already passed. You can apply for the start of training in autumn 2025 from August 2024 onwards.

This is how the training works

The training starts on September 1, 2024 and lasts for three years.

You will alternate between several-week periods at the vocational school, the Bavarian Administration School in Munich, and your internship positions in the departments of the City of Munich. There, you will learn about the diverse areas of responsibility of the 14 departments of the city administration and the Directorate and gain insights into possible future fields of work. These can include organizational and legal tasks, such as in a school secretary's office in the Department of Education and Sports or in the citizen's office of the Department of Public Order.
