"The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3.5-year apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering (m/f/d) in Kempten, starting on September 1st, 2024. The vocational school is also located in Kempten.
The DB is a large company and we are looking for Electronics Technicians in various areas. Depending on your interests and the availability of apprenticeship positions, you can complete your training as an Electronics Technician on our trains, on our rails and power lines, at our train stations, or in our workshops where the regular power grid is converted into the railway power grid.
What to expect during your apprenticeship:
  • You will become familiar with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of various systems
  • Analysis and troubleshooting of malfunctions
  • Knowledge of measurement, testing, and diagnostic procedures, as well as their professional documentation
  • You will work to ensure that our trains are always ready for use
  • Maintenance and repair of electronic components on our trains, such as information displays, doors, and monitoring systems, will be part of your tasks
