For our theater company, we are currently seeking a Head of Event Technology to join our team.

The Schmidt Theater stands for top-class entertainment in the heart of Hamburg's Reeperbahn.

In our three theaters - Schmidt Theater, Schmidts Tivoli, and Schmidtchen - we captivate our audience with high-quality musical productions, ruthless comedy, and quirky shows.

Do you have experience in a technical leadership position at a theater? Are you communicative, a team player, and have a great understanding of artistic processes? Then we look forward to getting to know you


WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US

  • Lead and coordinate the Event Technology department (lighting, sound, and video technology) as well as provide technical and organizational guidance
  • Supervise and manage all event technology processes during rehearsals and performances in all venues and on the rehearsal stage
  • Coordinate and administratively prepare guest performances, special events, and tour productions
  • Contribute to season planning and the planning of new productions
  • Obtain quotes for event technology equipment, order replacements and consumables
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations for the Tivoli, Schmidt, and Schmidtchen venues, as well as occupational safety in the department
  • Prepare and implement training for event technicians
