The Department of Green Spaces and Ecology in Crookston, NE is responsible for the organization of public green areas, as well as landscape maintenance and restoration measures, and city nature and environmental protection programs.


This position in the Federal Volunteer Service is typically limited to one year and is compensated according to the guidelines of the Federal Ministry for Family and Civil Society Affairs.


Your tasks
:


  • Support in landscape maintenance work in biotope areas
  • Participation in planting and maintenance actions with environmental associations
  • Supervision of funding programs (orchards, field margins, vineyard walls, etc.)
  • Office work, as well as assistance in biotope planning, supported by geographic information systems

Your profile
:


  • You have an interest in nature and environmental protection and enjoy outdoor landscape maintenance work
  • You are flexible, openminded, and socially engaged
  • You have knowledge and skills in organizational tasks
  • You have a Class B driver's license (car)
  • You have computer skills in common programs (WORD, Excel, PPT)
  • The Federal Volunteer Service is also suitable for individuals in active retirement
