We are currently hiring a Used Car Manager to become a valuable member of our thriving organization.


Responsibilities


The Used Car Manager oversees and maintains days to market expectations and quality control of the preowned inventory by managing the reconditioning process while prioritizing cost, quality and profitability.


  • Manage all aspects of the dealership's used car department, including inventory management, pricing strategies, and sales operations.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to acquire, appraise, and purchase preowned vehicles for resale, ensuring a diverse and highquality inventory.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and appraisals to accurately assess tradein values and potential resale opportunities.
  • Establish pricing guidelines and negotiate purchase prices with customers and wholesalers to maximize profitability and maintain competitive pricing.
  • Oversee the reconditioning process for used vehicles, coordinating with service and detailing departments to ensure they are showroomready for sale.
  • Lead a team of sales professionals, providing coaching, training, and guidance to optimize sales performance and achieve departmental goals.
  • Prepare vehicles for wholesale auctions.

Qualifications
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Used Car Manager in a dealership setting:

  • Proficient in CDK is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and teambuilding skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of sales professionals to achieve performance targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and industry contacts.
  • Knowledge of automotive market trends, pricing strategies, and valuation methods.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • You must have or acquire a valid California Vehicle Salesperson License

Compensation

  • The estimated annual earnings for this position are $150, $300,000.00 after factoring in all forms of compensation including salary, commissions, bonuses, etc.
  • Employees in this position will receive a base salary of approximately $6,000.00 per month, plus commissions and bonuses based on performance.

Hiring Requirements

  • 18 years or older required
