Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3.5-year apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician for Operating Technology (m/f/d) at DB Services GmbH in Kaiserslautern.

The vocational school is also located in Kaiserslautern.

At DB, we have a variety of opportunities for electronics technicians in different areas.

Depending on your interests and the availability of apprenticeship positions, you can complete your training as an electronics technician on our trains, on our rails and power lines, at our train stations, or in our workshops where the normal power grid is converted into the railway power grid.


What to expect in your apprenticeship:

  • Your training will offer a lot of variety as you rotate between working in the company, the training workshop, and vocational school on a weekly basis.
  • You will never be alone in your learning, as you will have dedicated trainers and will also learn alongside other apprentices, forming lifelong friendships.

On our rails and power lines:

  • You will spend a lot of time outdoors, exploring our rail network and checking if signals (traffic lights for our trains), switches, or barriers are functioning properly and repairing them if necessary.
  • Sometimes, you will have to work at heights as our trains get their power from the lines above the tracks, and your help
