Description
WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT IN BRIEF?

Mathematical-technical software developers are experts in the interdisciplinary field at an engineering level.

They understand the mathematical models for problems in computer science, technology, natural sciences, and economics, and are familiar with common solution methods.

They select the appropriate system components and independently implement them into program systems, taking into account existing software, latest findings, and economic aspects.

They also work on interpreting the results.

WHO?

The prerequisite is a high school diploma with good grades in mathematics. Knowledge of English is also required. The selection of applicants is based on a selection process including a test and personal interview. As with any study program, a willingness to learn independently is expected.

WHERE?

Trainees learn at the Juelich Supercomputing Centre and at other institutes of the Juelich Research Centre, as well as at partner companies.

HOW LONG?

The training, including a bachelor's degree, lasts three years. After that, further qualification through a master's degree is possible. We have compiled further information in a flyer.
