The city of South Haven, MI is currently seeking a permanent position as a

Caretaker (m/f/d)

within the "Schools" department of the "Education/Culture" office, with a weekly working time of 39.0 hours. The position will serve as a substitute to support and represent the existing team in the city's facilities within the schools/kindergartens area, as well as in the town hall. The salary is based on pay group 5 of the TVöD.

South Haven is an independent city with approximately 51,000 inhabitants. It is located between the state capital of Hannover and the major center of Braunschweig, and is conveniently connected to the A2 motorway and the Deutsche Bahn network (Braunschweig-Peine-Hannover). The South Haven town hall is located near the train station and the city center. The city is home to a diverse industry as well as concentrated trade and service businesses. The historic market square completes the overall cityscape.

The main tasks include:

Complete representation of all caretakers in the jurisdiction of the "Education/Culture" office, such as in schools and kindergartens. This includes in particular the maintenance, repair and inspection of the properties and their facilities.
Representation of the city messenger when needed.
Representation of the caretaker of the town hall when needed.
