General Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Machine Learning Engineer at Qualcomm Germany GmbH.

In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of new algorithms for improved video compression. You will also have the opportunity to represent Qualcomm in standardization forums and work on computationally lightweight model architectures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of experience in Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 1+ year of experience in Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the conception and implementation of new algorithms for improved video compression.
Design and implement algorithms for computationally lightweight model architectures.
Represent Qualcomm in standardization forums such as JVET, MPEG Video, and ITU-T/VCEG.
Utilize expertise in generative models of video data to improve video compression (e.g., optical flow, implicit neural representations, video or singleimage superresolution, diffusion models, density estimation, transformers, etc.).
