Overview of the training:

Degree: Pharmaceutical-technical assistant, state-certified

Duration: 2.5 years: school education + internship in a pharmacy (PTA internship, 160 hours) + practical training in a pharmacy (six months)

Start: annually in September

Location: F+U Education Campus Heidelberg, directly opposite Heidelberg main station

State examination:

First section: at the end of the second year of training (a written part in four subjects, an oral part in three subjects, and a practical part in three subjects).

After the practical training in the pharmacy, the second section follows (oral examination of pharmacy practice).

Job description:

Whether as an employee in pharmacies, hospitals, or in the industry - as a state-certified pharmaceutical-technical assistant, you are right in the middle of the healthcare industry and provide customers and patients with your expertise in health-related questions.

You enjoy advising people, are a mediator between doctor and patient, and support the pharmacist in their work. You are interested in chemical substances, medicinal and basic materials, and enjoy independently producing and testing formulations and medicines.
