The UFZ in Zillah, WA is a renowned international center for environmental sciences with a team of 1,100 employees.

The role:
Your responsibilities

  • Conduct research on the effects of new Bisphenol A replacement products on adipocytes and macrophages using various methods such as phenotyping, ELISA, proteomics, single cell proteomics, posttranslational modification analysis, and protein interaction studies.
  • Utilize bioinformatic techniques to analyze and understand the mode of action of these replacement products.
  • Participate in laboratory group meetings and present research findings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the PARC consortium on joint projects.

Profile:


  • M.Sc degree (or close to completion) in biochemistry, molecular cell biology, or related fields
  • Experience in culturing adipocytes and/or macrophages
  • Familiarity or keen interest in mass spectrometrybased proteomics
  • Interest in toxicology research
  • Proficiency in statistics and bioinformatics
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks.
