Your task:

You are responsible for all matters related to the service clothing, various equipment and consumables for the employees of the Chemnitz Fire Department in the areas of firefighting (professional and volunteer fire department), civil protection and emergency medical services

Your responsibilities include:

Issuing and managing service clothing, as well as operational and equipment items and consumables
Determining the needs and procuring service clothing, specialized clothing, firefightingspecific equipment and laundry based on existing framework agreements, as well as adhering to stock standards
Time value calculations for operational and equipment items in the event of recourse
Determining the required financial resources for budget planning
Accompanying procurement procedures according to VOL (German procurement regulations for services) and developing necessary tender documents
Developing procurement/tender proposals, monitoring the market and creating performance specifications
Initiating wear tests and conducting quality checks
Determining and updating size keys

What you bring:

Completed threeyear training in the administrative or commercial field, preferably as a certified administrative assistant or with an AI degree
Experience in warehouse logistics and managing budget resources is desirable
Experience in the public administration sector is advantageous
Knowledge of using a sewing machine and basic sewing techniques is desirable
Good eye for correct wearing of uniforms and objective assessment of appearance, including knowledge and good judgment of clothing sizes
Experience in handling and caring for protective and work clothing is desirable
Knowledge of administrative software
