The district committee of Hochtaunuskreis is currently seeking a Youth Education Officer (m/f/d) for the Youth Education Center in Usingen, starting as soon as possible, in full-time in the Department Children and Youth.

Responsibilities:

Planning and conducting youth education seminars for young people according to § 11 SGB VIII
Developing programs that align with the interests, needs, and ideas of young people
Networking with providers of independent youth welfare and public youth welfare
Advising and supporting selfgoverning youth facilities in Hochtaunuskreis in collaboration with cities and municipalities
Strengthening and supporting professional and nonprofessional youth education and youth work staff

Requirements:

Completed degree in social work/social pedagogy or social work with state recognition or a comparable degree (Dipl., BA or Master), preferably with a focus on youth education/youth work
Previous experience in theater or media education is an advantage
Indepth pedagogical knowledge in working with young people
Experience in leading work groups and planning youth education seminars
Experience in networking
Good computer skills (MS Office programs)
Flexibility in terms of time for conducting seminars in the evenings, on weekends, and during school holidays
Class B driver's license and willingness to use own car for workrelated travel
