'We are currently seeking a Peer Employee/ Recovery Companion/ EX-IN Staff Member (520€ basis, w/m/d) to join our team at the University Hospital Ulm in Duffield, VA. Our hospital is committed to providing modern patient care with high quality, cutting-edge research, and a focus on future-oriented medical education and training in attractive fields. This requires qualified and dedicated employees (w/m/d).


The research project EI-IWS (Effectiveness and Implementation of the peer-led program 'Standing Up for Yourself with Dignity' (IWS) for reducing self-stigma in adults with mental illness), funded by the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG), is investigating the effectiveness of IWS in reducing self-stigma.

The overall study is being conducted at 7 locations.

The goal is to provide a program that effectively supports those affected in reducing self-stigma and thus promotes their social integration in a sustainable way.


For the Ulm/Günzburg location, we are now looking to fill a position for a Peer/ Recovery Companion/ EX-IN Staff Member (w/m/d) on a 520€ basis, with a contract until December 31, 2025.


Your responsibilities:


  • Leading the IWS groups in the project
  • Implementing the project in various contexts such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or private psychiatric practices
  • Collaboration with doctoral students, project management, and other IWS group leaders
