Practical more than theory | Start your dual studies with us

Students of the Computer Science program with a focus on Information Technology receive fundamental knowledge in the field of computer science, such as mathematics, theoretical computer science, and programming, during the theoretical phase of their studies at DHBW Karlsruhe. Additional natural and engineering subjects, such as electrical engineering, physics, or graphical data and image processing, complement the theoretical content.

In the practical phase, these contents are deepened and applied in practice. Students work with information technology systems that they develop and maintain. Part of the practical phase also involves taking on independent project tasks of a computer scientist to prepare for the challenges of the profession.
