- Directs records retention and disposal, printing and bindery services, and surplus property receiving and disposal by initiating, coordinating, reinforcing, and developing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

- Develops, implements, and monitors administrative systems by enhancing existing processes through review and analysis of workflow, staffing and space requirements, and equipment layout.

- Assists the Administrator with Supply Center operations by focusing on compliance with Federal, State, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements, as well as budget conformity.

- Assists the Administrator with the preparation of the annual budget.

- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and five (5) years of experience in warehouse management, distribution, and inventory control, preferably in public warehousing with a strong emphasis on high-volume distribution.
- Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience. Added years of experience may substitute for degree.
- If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver's License Requirements. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Deputy Administrator for the Division of Business Services, Operations Support Services (OSS).
This position oversees operational and financial objectives for Records Retention and Disposal, Print and Bindery, and Surplus Properties functions within the OSS administration.
The Deputy Administrator creates and implements standard work for utilizing advanced and high-level equipment; develops budget, marketing, and accounts receivable plans focused on Department, State agency customers, and customers from external organizations; modernizes print and bindery operations, surplus properties, and records retention processes; and authorized to act in the absence of the Administrator to direct receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, effectively optimizing processes for quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
