We are trying to source Sr. Mainframe System Programmer for our direct client for a Long - Term Onsite position at New York City, NY. We need Senior Mainframe Programmer who will manage, install, patching, upgrade and administration of Mainframe Systems.

It is a
Long Term Onsite position at New York City, NY.

Primary responsibility will include:

Ongoing maintenance (install, patching, upgrades, administration, etc.,) of the mainframe z/OS operating system, accompanying storage systems and systems software products (e.g., database, transaction server, security management, scheduling, report distribution, etc.), and UNIX Systems Services.
Upgrades of mainframe and related storage.

Experience / Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of experience working with z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, TSO, IOCP/HCD. Basic IBM utilities (IDCAMS, IEFBR14, etc.) program product installations, working knowledge or the IBM virtual tape system and Unix System Services.
Working knowledge of CICS, IMS, DB2 and AFP printing is a plus.
Experience in using monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON.
Working with an enterprise wide, large scale implementation.
Excellent communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
