About us:
At the TUM School of Engineering and Design at the Technical University of Munich, we are currently seeking a full-time (100%, E13 TVL) scientific employee (m/f/d) to join our Chair of Medical Materials and Implants.
The research focus of the Chair of Medical Materials and Implants at the School of Engineering and Design at TUM is the development of biohybrid implants for new and innovative therapy procedures.
Requirements:
- Excellent degree in engineering or related disciplines with a focus on medical technology
- Solid knowledge in basic subjects (mechanics, electrical engineering) for mechatronic device development
- Proficiency in common 3D CAD programs (e.g. Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks) for component design
- Programming skills in Python
- Ideally, knowledge and experience in cell culture (biological basics, techniques and materials used)
- Quick comprehension and critical thinking for interpreting results
Tasks:
As part of a cooperation project funded by the Free State of Bavaria with a university hospital and two medium-sized companies, the main task is the development of a modular, mechatronic system for the automated production, testing and monitoring of biological tissue models.
