Position:
Employee (f/m/d) in Science for the field of Reinforcement Learning in Materials Science

Organizational Unit:
Institute for Applied Materials - Microstructure Modeling and Simulation (IAM-MMS), Institute for Nanotechnology (INT)

Your Tasks:
Your responsibilities include developing reinforcement and active learning methods for materials science questions using data-integrative approaches.

For this purpose, you will create workflows in the data platform ecosystem Kadi4Mat and expand them with nodes for machine learning.

Other tasks include implementing machine learning methods and further developing the software solutions CIDS, KadiAI, and Kadi.

The results of your work will be shared within the institute, presented at conferences, and published in scientific journals.

There is the possibility of pursuing a part-time doctorate.

Start Date:
As soon as possible

Your Qualifications:
Completed university degree or doctorate in a mathematical, engineering, natural science, or data science field.

Experience in machine learning (especially deep and reinforcement learning) and programming skills in Python (especially PyTorch or Tensorflow) are mandatory.

Salary:
Pay grade 13, if the professional and personal requirements are met.

Contract Duration:
Fixed-term for 1 year
