- This role supports the Subject Relations department goal of ensuring complete Phase I volunteer satisfaction before, during, and after study involvement, increasing the likelihood of repeat study participation to sustain efficient and cost-effective recruiting. It is about spreading the word about the Phase I Clinic to the Austin area and surroundings to draw in new volunteers, all aimed at fully enrolling 100% of Phase I studies on time, while under the general supervision of a Manager. Experience as a behavioral health technician or in social services would be a valuable asset for this position. Responsibilities include:Helping volunteers with their concerns until they are satisfied with their experience in Phase I studies. Educating potential volunteers about the clinic's facilities and processes to encourage them to participate in and complete Phase I studies successfully. Collaborating with volunteers for potential reinstatement, supporting Managers and Phone Recruiting with excluded volunteers and inquiries, and monitoring subject feedback for volunteers' satisfaction with their Phase I participation. Informing volunteers about any concerning findings from their screening physicals while ensuring their privacy and confidentiality. Attending external community events to promote PPD's Phase I Clinic and enhance the volunteer pool for all Phase I studies. Working closely with Subject Relations administrative staff to maintain a positive volunteer environment with a variety of activities to boost subject morale and ensure a pleasant stay for overnight subjects. Qualifications - External Education and Experience:
- Minimum requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant academic or vocational qualifications. Holding a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience demonstrating the ability to guarantee customer satisfaction, coupled with a minimum of 1 year of group presentations and one-on-one interactions. An equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience that equips the individual with the necessary knowledge and capabilities may be considered.
- Previous experience (equivalent to at least 2 years) providing the skills and abilities required for the role, or a comparable blend of education, training, and experience.
- Customer-centric mindset with sound problem-solving skills, effective written and verbal communication, and keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Regular communication with volunteers regarding screening physicals' outcomes, upholding volunteer privacy and confidentiality.
- Participation in community events to advocate for PPD's Phase I Clinic and ensure enrollment in all Phase I studies.
- Collaboration with Subject Relations administrative staff to offer a range of volunteer activities, fostering positive subject morale and a comfortable environment for overnight participants.
