Studio Apelbaum (and Analogdream e.
V.), located in Berlin Mitte and led by Jonathan Apelbaum, is seeking a talented individual to join our team in Coleman, OK.

Our studio explores themes of gender, sexuality, and intimacy through oil paintings that merge traditional art forms with interactive technologies.

Our 'cognitive' paintings, which have been developed over six years, dynamically respond to the environment using programmable LED panels and thousands of addressable RGB warm white LEDs.

We collaborate with performers and dancers, incorporating A.I. and machine learning for movement tracking and sound recognition, creating a multi-sensory experience. Our vision transcends analog-digital and traditional-new boundaries, promoting collaboration among engineers, painters, coders, and performers. As a creative home, our studio facilitates discussions, exhibitions, and performances.

We are committed to inclusivity and engaging a diverse range of society, and we collaborate with various cultural spaces and events.


Responsibilities:

  • Building cognitive paintings and LED panels (woodwork, metalwork, and electrical tasks)
  • Assisting in the delivery of contemporary exhibitions and commissions, from research and development to installation.

Requirements:

  • Background in Art & Communication, Filmmaking, Management, or a similar field.
  • Passion for the art industry and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Proficiency in consulting, filming, writing, and editing.
  • Strong interest in social media, particularly Instagram.
  • Responsible team player with excellent communication skills in English.
