Tasks:

Machine and plant operators in production are responsible for setting up and operating machines and production facilities. They control and monitor the material flow, use testing procedures for quality control, and carry out quality assurance measures.

In your training, you will learn...

to manually process various materials (by filing, sawing, grinding) or using machines (by drilling, turning, milling)
- how to handle machine manuals, work instructions, and technical drawings
- how to assemble mechanical and electromechanical components into assemblies
- to create sketches and flowcharts
- to adjust process flows on automated production equipment
- the importance of control and regulation devices

Requirements:

a good secondary school leaving certificate or a very good extended vocational qualification
- interest in technical connections and production processes
- manual dexterity and enthusiasm for technical connections
- good knowledge of physics and mathematics
- independence, performance, and responsibility
