The Manhole Rehab Foreman carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with city policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including training in job skills, appraising performance, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and planning, assigning, and directing work.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of workers.
- Allocates and monitors time, crew, equipment, expenses and other resources.
- Oversee the setup of traffic controls, safety equipment, and equipment at the job site.
- Report on progress and be able to take direction from superiors.
- Ensure the site is left clean and that all equipment and tools are in good order.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Read and interpret plans and specs.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines to ensure we comply with all government and corporate safety procedures.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- Must hold a valid drivers license and be able to pass preemployment drug test, D.O.T. physical and driver's license check for past 5 years without any suspensions or major traffic violations (D.O.T. requirements).
- Ability to work overtime and out of town.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift over 50 lbs.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Saturday but can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
Travel is expected. Hotel, flight and per diem will be paid for by the Company. Work will be in and around sewer.
