"The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 professions who want to become even better with us.

Starting on August 1st, 2024, we are looking for you for a 3.5-year apprenticeship as a Mechatronics Technician (m/f/d) for DB Services GmbH at our location in Cologne. The vocational school is also located in Cologne.
What to expect in your apprenticeship at our train stations, workshops, and office buildings:
  • You will become a professional in the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our complex systems, such as elevators, escalators, and lifting platforms
  • Focus on electronic systems, but also familiarize yourself with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Programming, installation, and testing of modern hardware and software components
  • Identification and troubleshooting of errors and malfunctions
  • You will learn how to expertly fix defects
Your profile:
  • You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school
  • Your knowledge of math and physics is particularly good
  • You are skilled in craftsmanship and enjoy tinkering in your free time
  • You are passionate about technology
  • You have a careful and reliable work ethic
