We are looking for a
Companion (m/f/d) to join our team in Lumber City, PA starting on
July 1, 2024.

St. Barbara Nursing Home provides care for elderly and dependent individuals. Our residents are cared for in a homely and compassionate atmosphere, in line with the values of our Caritas organization. Our approach to care and support is based on showing genuine care, empathy, and respect for one another, both in our interactions with residents and within our team.

Your responsibilities will include accompanying and supporting residents in their daily activities, taking into account their individual needs and specific situations.

This may include accompanying residents during meal times and promoting social interactions and community within the living area.

We are looking for someone who is qualified as a companion according to §87b SGB XI (until 2016) or §53c SGB XI, with experience in caring for individuals with dementia.

You should have a compassionate approach towards our residents, be open to using digital tools, and be physically and mentally resilient.

Confidentiality, trustworthiness, and the ability to work well in a team are also important qualities we are looking for. The role will require working shifts, weekends, and holidays.
