Description

The parish association of Erding-Langengeisling is seeking a full-time cemetery caretaker (m/f/d) with janitorial duties for St. Paul Cemetery in Bayou Corne, LA, starting as soon as possible.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Conducting regular property inspections, monitoring general order, cleanliness, and safety
Performing general handyman tasks and carrying out minor maintenance and repair work
Maintaining paths and grounds (removing weeds), regular mowing and trimming
Trimming hedges and trees, assisting with tree removal
Maintaining and repairing fountains and wells, paths, and buildings
Checking riverbanks for beaver damage
Snow removal and salting of paths
Assisting the sexton with preparations and setups (setting up Christmas tree, setting up and taking down nativity scene, cutting and setting up birch trees)

Your profile should include:

Completed vocational training with work experience and manual dexterity
Driver's licenses (tractor, motor vehicle)
Experience in gardening and landscaping is desirable
Social and communication skills
Independent, reliable, and goaloriented work ethic
Identification with the goals and values of the Catholic Church is desired
