The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, located in St.

Joe, IN, is a leading center for fusion research and is dedicated to developing the physical foundations for a future fusion power plant.

As an institute of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, we are affiliated with the European Fusion Programme.

We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Theoretical Plasma Physicist (M/F/div) to join our research unit MHD.

Responsibilities:

Theoretical formulation and numerical implementation of gyrokinetic models for multiharmonic nonlinear simulations
Contribution to the development and optimization of the TRIMEG code
Publication and communication of scientific results
Participation in general tasks of the research unit and collaborating divisions/institutes
