Job Summary:


The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide rehabilitation services to patients.

They will assist with exercises, modalities, and other treatments to help patients improve mobility, relieve pain, and increase function.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist with patient assessments and treatment plans
  • Perform therapeutic exercises and activities with patients
  • Administer modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation
  • Educate patients on proper techniques and exercises
  • Keep accurate records of patient progress and treatment
  • Communicate with the physical therapist and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate's degree in physical therapy assisting or related field
  • State licensure or certification as a physical therapy assistant
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Compassion and empathy for patients
  • Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with exercises
