Student Assistants in German Copyediting/Proofreading (m/f/d) in Griggsville, IL

We are currently looking for students who are interested in working as freelance employees (part-time) in our company, specifically in the areas of copyediting and proofreading.

This position is available for the summer, as well as for long-term employment.

Our main focus is on organization and administration, as well as copyediting and proofreading of academic texts, ensuring they meet formal, linguistic, stylistic, and/or subject-specific criteria.

As a publishing service provider, we specialize in typesetting scientific books and journals in the fields of medicine, natural sciences, media and communication, as well as IT and engineering.

Our clients include renowned German and international publishers.

We are looking for freelance employees who:

are ideally studying German or a related field,

- have excellent knowledge of German spelling, grammar, and punctuation,
- have a strong sense of language,
- are detail-oriented and thorough,
- have good organizational skills and communication abilities,
- are willing to assist with administrative tasks (database maintenance, assisting with project assignments),
- enjoy proofreading,
- have a solid understanding of MS Word (knowledge of LaTex is a plus).
