The Laundry Guest Service Representative (GSR) is responsible for properly cleaning all linen and terry products used at the inn within a given timeframe while operating the maintaining all property laundry equipment.

This is critical to ensure quality products for our guests and ensure customer satisfaction, while working with members of the hotel team and maintaining room quality as well as the safety and security of the hotel.

We want our laundry GSR's to take pride in the quality and appearance of the product that is placed in our guest rooms.


  • Using company standards and procedures and guidelines, follow directions thoroughly to maintain, operate, set, and clean all laundry items and equipment (i.e., Correct usage of detergent/bleach/stain remover, emptying dryer lint traps, following proper load limits)
  • Ability to maintain inns' laundry cleaning schedule to meet daily operational goals and needs.
  • Maintain laundry and linen storage rooms to ensure it has adequate level of supplies, is organized and free of potential trip and fall hazards; inform management of any inventory shortages and ordering needs.
  • Examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability, separating out linens that need additional cleaning or discarding.
  • Maintain a count of damaged or discarded items monthly and pass onto Inn Management.
  • Smile and great guests following the 247 rule, maintain positive guest relations and appropriately handle guests' requests.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guests' information and pertinent hotel data.
  • Ability to work in nonclimate control conditions, such as heat, cold, rain or snow at exterior corridor properties.
  • Ability to exert physical effort in operation cleaning laundry equipment and transporting linen between washers and dryers (up to 50lbs) as well as endure various physical movements throughout the work areas during your shift.
  • Comply with all RRIWest and OHSA standards relating to safety and security.
  • Clean public areas including lobby, coffee room, public bathrooms, vending room, breakroom, and windows.
  • Maintain professional and proper company dress code standards including a smile and friendly attitude towards guests and staff members
  • Perform selfinspections on linen and terry and accept feedback from the quality inspections performed by Inn Management, head housekeepers and other key company personnel.
  • Cross train in housekeeping, maintenance and/or front desk functions, if possible.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • 12 years in previous customer service position and cleaning experience preferred.
  • Frequent lifting and bending required.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Have basic communication skills (reading, writing, comprehension). Be able to utilize a computer for timekeeping, OSHA training, etc.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
