The Department of General, Visceral and Pediatric Surgery is seeking a


Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA) (m/f/d):

The research group focuses on the molecular basis and therapeutic vulnerabilities in gastrointestinal cancer. Among other things, human cellular model systems (e.g. organoid cultures) will be established and genetically, epigenetically and pharmacologically investigated to identify new therapeutic targets that can be transferred to the clinic.


Your tasks:

  • Performance of cell biology and molecular biology methods and generation of SOPs
  • Production of reporter cell lines as well as gain/lossoffunction cell lines using CRISPR/Cas systems
  • Isolation and expansion of single cell clones and their genotyping
  • Establishment of a primary cell/organoid biobank
  • Detailed documentation of genetic work
  • General laboratory organization

Your profile:

  • Completed training as MTA, BTA or CTA
  • Experience in cell culture is an advantage
  • Willingness to work with viruses (S2 work
