We design, integrate, manufacture, install, and maintain this equipment for a diverse portfolio of end users in the Agro-Chem, Commercial, Critical Power, Government, Health Care, Industrial / Mining, Marine, Military, Multifamily Residential, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Rail / Transit, Utilities, and Water / Wastewater industries. **Responsibilities**
Place orders per planned order report
Maintain inventory levels for production
Evaluate open order report
Process returns and exchanges
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Perform all duties assigned by immediate supervisor and/or management.
The Buyer is responsible for understanding and working towards company goals and objectives as well as actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.
**Qualifications**
High School Diploma or GED required
3-5 years of purchasing experience
Proven success in obtaining significant cost savings by negotiating with existing/new suppliers and finding alternatives for electronic components, bare boards, contract manufacturers and MRO supplies
Ability to engage in planning based on production schedules and forecast/JIT driven requirements
Capacity to clearly communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management
Demonstrated time management skills
Capacity to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagrammatic form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Proficiency in written and spoken English
APICS or CPIM Certification a plus
