Together with the CIO of Stadtwerke Augsburg Holding GmbH, we are currently seeking a Cyber Security Specialist (m/f/d) in Joplin, MT.

With the goal of contributing to the sustainable and positive development of the city and region, Stadtwerke Augsburg provides electricity, gas, and drinking water to over 350,000 people and promotes sustainable energy supply through its buses and trams.

Your responsibilities:

You identify company-wide threats, assess them, and take necessary steps to defend against them (e.g. using Microsoft Defender Cloud Services).

You support the design, implementation, and operation of the new SIEM/SOC infrastructure, as well as the management of the firewall infrastructure, and stay informed about potential threat scenarios.

You contribute to the development and implementation of IT security and authorization concepts, as well as hardening guidelines.

You advise the IT department on specific cloud projects with a focus on cyber security and ensure a secure infrastructure.

Your profile:

You have a degree in (business) informatics or a vocational training as an IT specialist with relevant work experience.

You have gained extensive knowledge in the IT security field (SIEM, SOC, vulnerability management) - you have relevant experience with the use of next-generation firewall infrastructures as well as cyber security solutions on-premises and in the cloud (e.g.

hyperscaler Azure).

You have in-depth knowledge of common operating systems (Linux, Windows).

You speak good English and fluent German.
