Duties:


  • Serves as the Wing's functional lead for Supply management and operations functions.
  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities for 3 military members.
  • Utilizes automated logistics and maintenance analysis system(s) and computergenerated and software products in accomplishing supply chain management assignments.
  • Performs special and recurring projects and assignments.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a twoyear DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated specialsensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligencerelated Special Sensitive information.
  • Involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A nondisclosure agreement must be signed.
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
  • This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
  • Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.

Qualifications:


This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.


In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

  • 1. Extensive knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods of logistics and supply operations management.
  • 2. Comprehensive knowledge of laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to readiness and mobilization. Thorough knowledge of logistics management, principles, concepts, policies, and regulations. Knowledge of distribution facilities and storage management functions and techniques. Additionally, knowledge of sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance or advice to resolve logistics and supply problems.
  • 3. Ability to review, analyze, and evaluate logistics and supply management programs, as well as analyze problems and to develop timely and economical solutions. Ability to review, analyze and manage contingency, mobilization planning, and war reserve programs.
  • 4. Ability to develop, prepare, coordinate, staff and implement policies, procedures, programs, and directives, ensuring effective communication, both orally and in writing, concisely and with technical accuracy while planning and organizing work.
  • 5. Ability to stratify resources against approved programs; to plan, present and execute budgets; to analyze budget impacts on programs; and to forecast longterm requirements.
  • 6. Ability to establish effective working relationships with others. Ability to inspire, motivate and guide others toward goal accomplishment.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
