Job Description:


As a production operator at Naukati Bay, you will be responsible for controlling and monitoring our modern, highly automated production systems.

This includes checking measurement values and taking samples for quality control, setting up automated machines, and maintaining production equipment. You will also be trained to identify and resolve any malfunctions in the production process.

Through this role, you will gain in-depth knowledge of paper and pulp production, from raw materials to the final product.


Training:
This position requires a 3-year apprenticeship in the dual education system.

You will attend vocational school in Altenburg, Thuringia (the company covers the costs for necessary accommodation in the boarding school).

You will also have the opportunity to complete external internships at partner companies.

In your second or third year of apprenticeship, you may also be assigned to work in a shift system, depending on your age.


What We Offer:
We offer a 35-hour work week, 30 days of vacation, and an attractive salary based on collective bargaining agreements. There are also excellent opportunities for permanent employment after completing the apprenticeship. In your first year, you will train together with your instructors and fellow apprentices in our Mercer training workshop.
