The Hessenpark open-air museum presents the settlement history of the state of Hesse on an area of approximately 60 hectares with over 100 historic buildings, a variety of interesting events revolving around rural and small-town everyday life, and allows for a journey through the last 400 years.

We showcase cultural-historical special and permanent exhibitions and offer a diverse range of events in our annual program. With over visitors annually, Hessenpark is one of the largest open-air museums in Germany.

To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for a part-time (25 hours per week) employee (m/f/d) for the museum ticket office, initially on a fixed-term basis for two years.

The weekly working hours will be divided into two to three days with 8 or 9.75 hours each according to the duty roster.

Your tasks will include:

selling tickets and processing payment transactions, reconciling daily income and maintaining accurate cash registers, managing the museum shop (sales, stocking), and being a point of contact for museum guests.

You will also assist with the organization and execution of events.

We expect from you:

experience in cashiering, preferably with a commercial degree or equivalent qualification, good PC skills and proficiency in MS Word and Excel, a sense of responsibility, communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently and in a service-oriented manner, team spirit, flexibility, and resilience even in stressful situations, and willingness to work on weekends and holidays with corresponding surcharges.
