The incumbent will work a schedule as follows:

Monday & Tuesdays 9:30 a.m.
8:00 p.m. & Wednesday & Saturday 7:30 a.m.
6:00 p.m.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Associate of Arts Degree in Library Science AND one (1) year of responsible paraprofessional library experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Licenses, Certifications, and Equipment:

A valid State driver's license is required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Work is done in a standard library environment with mínimal physical labor and exposure to adverse conditions. Will be required to provide customer service and interact with other staff, the public, and various public entities.

The City offers an attractive compensation and benefit package, that includes:

Retirement

Participation in the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS).

Classic members with less than 6 months separation:
CalPERS 2% at 55, single highest year plan. New members, CalPERS 2% at 62, three highest year average plan.

Monthly contribution of $ Employee Only), $1, Employee plus one), or $1, Employee plus Family) for health, dental and vision premiums. Eligible employees who waive all medical, dental, vision, supplemental life, and supplemental AD&D benefits will receive an annual "Health Insurance Waiver Stipend" of $3,500.00 every first paycheck of December.

Vacation 80 hours annually, accrued biweekly; available for use after one (1) year.
Sick Leave 96 hours annually, accrued biweekly; available for use after ninety (90) days.
13 holidays, plus 18 hours of floating holiday time.
