Social Pedagogical Professionals for Supported Independent Living at Shippensburg University, PA

We are seeking social pedagogical professionals (Diploma, B.A., M.A.) for our work with adolescents and young adults in the field of Supported Independent Living (- 34 SGB VIII).

The position is for 25-35 hours per week.

We offer flexible working hours, regular supervision, and training opportunities, as well as close professional exchange within a multi-professional and experienced team.

V. is a non-profit organization for youth welfare with its headquarters in Berlin-Mitte.

In eight apartments spread across Mitte and Wedding, a total of 12 young people of different backgrounds and gender identities with individual support needs live and are supported and accompanied by our experienced team of social pedagogical professionals.

Through a discrimination-critical and difference-sensitive approach in working with young people, we support a needs-oriented access to social participation and education systems, and offer individual paths for development.

The work includes a variety of exciting topics in social pedagogical practice, such as educational and vocational support, strengthening independence, promoting responsible behavior, fostering motivation, developing life perspectives, and increasing frustration tolerance in everyday life.

We see our services as instruments to protect our clients from various dangers such as exclusion, violence, neglect, and discrimination.
