Our Animal Health Division's Technology Solutions provide pet owners and animal farmers with unique data-driven behavioral insights enabling improved management of pet and herd health.


The Animal Health Executive Director of Enterprise Information and Application Architecture will work collaboratively with functionally-aligned Animal Health IT Value Team leaders, with Animal Health business leadership and with the Global IT Chief Technology Office to technology-enable the realization of biopharmaceutical and animal identification and monitoring sales and profitability objectives.

The position reports directly to the Animal Health Divisional CIO.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain enterprise systems and information architecture to meet strategic growth and profitability goals of the business while aligning with Global IT priorities and ways of working.
  • Design and chair the Animal Health Architecture Review Board (AH-ARB) to facilitate the governance process for architecture and technology decision making and standardization within the division.
  • Sponsor and direct architecture governance processes to guide investment decisions towards strategic and financially appropriate activities.
  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, IT Risk Management and CTO leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging common solutions and extending the adoption of global IT standards.
  • Anticipate and understand the implications of emerging technologies, communicate and evangelize them to appropriate audiences, and integrate them into divisional information and system architecture recommendations.
  • Lead the Animal Health System and Information Architecture Team in developing and communicating technology reference architectures, standards, and best practices throughout the organization.

Education:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 15 years of related experience.

Required Experience and Skills:


  • Prior experience successfully leading major architecturedriven digital transformations
  • Experience leading business and technology architecture efforts for major initiatives in collaboration with crossfunctional project teams.
  • Experience managing architecture governance processes, such as leading an Architecture Review Board (ARB).
  • Experience integrating legacy systems with modern technologies to support digital, data, and analytics initiatives.
  • Experience delivering Cloud, CI/CD, DevSecOps based solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with excellent executive presentation, written, and verbal communication abilities.
